Reports from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) show that 2012 was the 36th consecutive year that global temperatures were above average. Global climate recordings date back to 1880 and now both NOAA and NASA independently record the temperature of the Earth's surface and the changes that created based on the history of the land's surface and oceans. Both of the agencies have reported that the global temperature for 2012 was one degree Fahrenheit above average.
